About Julie Austin – Artist Inspired by earth

Julie Austin is a neurodivergent contemporary artist born in 1991. Her family is French-American, and she is based in the Loire Valley, France. Her creative process is guided by a sensorial interplay of textures, layers, rich colors, and emotions. In contemplation of the changing seasons and the biodiversity that surrounds her, she works with wax pastels, oil pastels, or acrylic paint to create colorful pieces that reflect her deep connection to plants, animals, landscapes, and cycles of life.

Inspired by her long-held affection for folk arts, quilts, animism, organic gardening, craft, and herbalism, Julie’s work often reflects the essence of a flower, a mood, or a memory. Through her art, she offers a sensitive celebration of the natural world and its power to ground, heal, and speak—especially to those who experience life differently.
