During a period when health challenges required me to adapt my usual process, my practice shifted toward wax pastels. While different from the earth pigments and botanical dyes that had shaped my earlier work, this medium allowed me to continue exploring the muted palette that has long defined my paintings.
By layering and blending colors, I searched for soft mineral tones, weathered surfaces, and softened transitions. These works became a space for experimentation, where flowers and plants were distilled into simple forms and textured compositions.
